Gates - Your
Design Diagram is the Master Document.
After ordering at the online store, or via fax, you will
receive a personalized gate diagram, in response to your
order. You may amend this diagram as needed or cancel your
order. Once you approve the diagram, the diagram forms the
only master document describing your gate. The approved
design diagram supersedes any previous e-mails or even the
Yahoo order, which may have different "build-to" or finish
parameters. Our carpenters use only the approved diagram
when building your gate. We commit to satisfying the design
diagram as you have approved it. The customer is solely
responsible for specification of the gate parameters,
measurements, and finishes, in that diagram. Hebell
LLC bears NO RESPONSIBILITY for whether the gate will fit or
mount into your gate area.

Payment Methods
How can I pay for my order?
We gladly accept Visa and MasterCard, by
banks within the United States. Cards from outside the US will undergo
additional processing and may be denied, lacking sufficient information for risk
reduction. Cards are not charged until the gate design is approved by you.
Similarly, you may use PAYPAL for payment. We'll send
you an invoice after you're happy with your design.
Orders paid by company check or personal
check or money order may incur additional delays. Such orders will not be
processed until the check clears. In addition, you will be required to sign a
separate sales order indicating your acceptance of the item and pricing.
This must be faxed back to us at 202-478-1743.
All credit card orders are subject to verification and
approval by the card-issuing bank. For your protection, credit card orders
shipped to an address other than your billing address may require additional
verification. Cards failing address verification may be cancelled, and, if
shipped, will be required to have a signature for delivery.
Sales Tax.
Sales tax
on material sales applies to clients with
physical locations or billing addresses in MD only. In-store pickups
incur sales tax. Sales tax applies
to products plus any service work that is rehabilitative or
maintenance-related, regardless of your location. Preparatory work needed to fix wall surface cracks
or damage, or furniture joints or surfaces, is subject to sales tax.
Faux finish work, new trimwork or surfaces, and wallpapering services are not subject to sales tax.
Pricing Errors.
Hebell LLC
reserves the right to fix typos or pricing
errors that may occur on the web site, including the right to cancel a sale. If
a pricing error occurs the customer will be presented with a revised invoice,
with the option to proceed or cancel.

Itemized Bids. We
hope that our experience and pictures shown on this site, will strongly
encourage you to consider Hebell LLC for your decorative need or
restoration work, or as a follow-on to the work of your existing general
contractor. However, we recognize that today's cost-conscious
homeowner also wants the best value for their dollar.
For this reason, your final quotation will itemize the following
expenses, so you have confidence in the rationale for total costs:
-
Materials and Fixtures
-
Labor
-
Third-party expenses (permits, subcontractors if
applicable)
-
Job Assumptions and any Cost Caveats
-
Estimated Total time to Complete
On-Site Visits for Final Cost Estimation.
A
visit to your home may be required to complete the final quotation. Our
quotes, which are e-mailed to you, are intended to give you an estimate for a working budget.
An on-site visit will allow us to determine what additional
preparations, if any, are required. Any increase in costs is normally
attributable to such things as extensive surface preparation work,
construction issues complicating the effort (such as a dropped ceiling),
or more
labor-intensive techniques (such as detailed glaze work). At the time of the
on-site visit, you may still have some questions regarding final
specifications, or several design choices in mind. If this is the case,
your final bid will be accompanied by not-to-exceed costs for the design alternatives.
Specifications and Mock-ups. Your
service bid will include a
detailed description of work to be performed, including the
identification of all work-affected areas in your home, and all surfaces
to be finished or refinished. Most jobs will require the selection of
paints, glazes, pigments, textiles, decoupage imagery, or finishes
necessary to best harmonize with the historical period or decorating
style of your home or room. For example, the selection of a Victorian
three-part wallpaper design can only proceed after the client views
several "mock-ups" and has the opportunity to see and then
select the final paper selections. While custom paint and faux effects
require samples, we are also pleased to proceed directly using client
requests for specific wallpapers or other materials, if these are known
in advance.
Paint selections are usually made by
working with the client to create a color palette on-site. Our samples
range from 1 foot square to16' sq ft panels depending on the scale of
the design. Mockups are often free, or always low cost. Urban Revivals
provides all paint codes (names and/or mix information) and pigment
information, so
that clients have the information available for any future touch-ups
they may require.
Standard Contracts.
We follow all MD contractor regulations, which allow the client to cancel within a
three-day period, should he or she change his mind after signing a
contract. After that period, contract terms apply. The contract
typically requires advance payment of materials and a deposit on a small
percentage of the service work, combined with payment of the balance at
completion within NET 15 terms. Larger jobs may require incremental
progress payments.
Scheduling.
We maintain automated
scheduling systems, and can work with your schedule to pick dates and
times for completing the work.
