BATHROOM RESTORATION c. 1935

This bathroom is located in NorthWest Washington DC and receives regular use. The bathroom had areas of significant plaster damage, and the walls and ceilings were covered with layers of film from smoke and hairspray.

The owners were blessed to have the original floor tiles. Other tiles date from the 70's. The owners wanted a facelift. Urban Revivals assisted them in wallpaper selection. The owners made reuse of existing mirrors and other towel fixtures.

Urban Revivals stripped the old wallpaper, patched all holes, sanded the entire room, repaired cracked tiles, recaulked the tub, installed the new fixtures, painted the molding, restored the antique radiator cover, and cleaned and repaired the floor (see another tile repair effort here).
